The leadership of Well Made Here asked the five parties running in the federal election to share their commitments on housing, construction, and local purchasing.

🟥 Liberal Party of Canada (LPC)
🏘️ Housing and Construction
• Goal to double residential construction to 500,000 homes per year
• “Canada Homes”: prefab and modular housing program with a $25B investment using Canadian materials
• Elimination of GST on new or renovated homes under $1M for first-time buyers
• 50% reduction in municipal development fees for multi-unit housing projects for five years
• $10B in low-cost loans for affordable housing construction
• Creation of a Home Buyers’ Bill of Rights

• Prioritize use of Canadian materials (e.g., lumber) in construction projects
